Corbyn Running Calculator - A run time calculator 1.1

The Corbyn Running Calculator app has been developed by a dedicated runner to address the common challenges faced during training and race preparation. It simplifies the process of performing various pace and distance calculations that are typically time-consuming and complex without specialized tools.

• Determine the required pace to achieve a specific target race time
• Calculate average split times for interval training sessions
• Estimate the distance achievable within a set time frame
• Analyze the pace needed by competitors to finish their races in specific times

As an avid runner, I often encountered frustration when performing these calculations manually. Recognizing the lack of efficient tools to facilitate this process, I developed this application with the goal of streamlining training planning and race analysis for fellow runners.

Examples of calculations that the app readily performs include:

1. Target race pace:
Aiming to complete 28 km in under 2 hours Calculation: 2:00:00 ÷ 28 km = approximately 4 minutes 17 seconds per km
2. Average interval split time:
During a session with intervals of 500 meters, with split times of 88.6, 90.5, 89, 87, 91.3, and 85.4 seconds Calculation: (88.6 + 90.5 + 89 + 87 + 91.3 + 85.4) ÷ 6 ≈ 88.63 seconds
3. Distance within a designated time:
With one hour available and a known average pace of 4 minutes 40 seconds per km Calculation: 1 hour ÷ (4:40 per km) ≈ 12.86 km
4. Required pace based on competitor performance:
A competitor completed a 6.3 km race in 19 minutes and 38 seconds Calculation: 19:38 ÷ 6.3 km ≈ 3 minutes 6.98 seconds per km
5. Projected race finish time:
Following a pace of 4 minutes per km over a full marathon distance of approximately 42.195 km Calculation: 4 min/km × 42.195 km ≈ 2 hours, 48 minutes, and 46.8 seconds
